Accept crypto payments in Restrict Content Pro with MakePay
The MakePay Restrict Content Pro gateway is built for WordPress membership sites that sell protected content, courses, communities, and paid downloads.
Restrict Content Pro handles membership levels, account pages, email notifications, and access rules. MakePay adds a crypto checkout option to that flow without moving membership management away from WordPress.
A member chooses MakePay at checkout, pays on the hosted checkout page, and returns to the site. Signed payment notifications update the RCP payment record after the payment is complete.
How MakePay fits into RCP checkout
During checkout, Restrict Content Pro creates the pending payment and sends the signup to the selected gateway. The MakePay gateway creates a payment link for that pending payment and redirects the member to checkout.
When MakePay confirms the payment, the plugin verifies the webhook signature and marks the RCP payment complete. Restrict Content Pro then applies the membership access rules configured for the selected level.
Good use cases for membership payments
Restrict Content Pro fits paid blogs, private communities, education libraries, content vaults, and membership sites where access is controlled by membership level.
For each live membership level, run a test signup and confirm the payment amount, return page, member email, and access rules before promoting the crypto payment option.
Operations and fallback setup
Use Connect MakePay for normal setup. Manual API-key fields are available when a site needs a fallback connection method.
If a site domain changes, reconnect MakePay and confirm that the webhook URL is reachable from the public internet.
FAQ
Does the plugin manage memberships itself?
No. Restrict Content Pro remains responsible for membership levels, access rules, emails, and account pages.
Can I keep Stripe or PayPal enabled too?
Yes. MakePay is registered as another Restrict Content Pro payment gateway, so merchants can enable it alongside existing gateways.
