Accept crypto payments in ClientExec with MakePay

ClientExec is invoice-led billing software. Customers pay open invoices, and ClientExec handles product renewals, client records, and recurring billing cycles. MakePay fits that model by adding a gateway that creates a hosted crypto payment link for each invoice.

The gateway keeps the payment experience simple: the client chooses MakePay, pays on the hosted checkout page, and ClientExec receives a signed callback when the payment settles.

How MakePay maps to ClientExec invoices

The gateway receives the ClientExec invoice details, creates a MakePay payment link with invoice and client metadata, and redirects the customer to hosted checkout.

When MakePay reports a completed payment, the callback verifies the signature and uses ClientExec payment callbacks to record the invoice payment.

Recurring invoices stay in ClientExec

For v1, ClientExec remains the source of truth for recurring products and renewal dates. MakePay does not create a second subscription schedule.

Each recurring invoice generated by ClientExec can be paid through the same MakePay hosted checkout flow, keeping billing history and automation in ClientExec.

Operations and recovery

Use Connect MakePay for normal setup, then run a test invoice before enabling the gateway for customers. Keep manual API-key fallback available for incident recovery.

If the billing domain changes, reconnect MakePay so the callback and return URLs match the live ClientExec installation.
