Senior WooCommerce/WordPress Plugin Developer
Make MakePay easy to install for WooCommerce merchants.
This role focuses on the WordPress and WooCommerce extension experience for merchants who want crypto checkout without custom engineering. You will own plugin reliability, checkout behavior, configuration flows, and marketplace readiness.

What you will own
- Build and maintain WooCommerce and WordPress plugin flows for checkout, order status, refunds, and merchant setup.
- Handle plugin packaging, versioning, compatibility testing, and marketplace submission requirements.
- Partner with support to turn merchant installation issues into better defaults and documentation.
What you bring
- Strong PHP, WordPress, WooCommerce, JavaScript, and API integration experience.
- Practical knowledge of checkout hooks, order lifecycle events, admin settings, and plugin security.
- Ability to test across WordPress versions, themes, hosting environments, and merchant configurations.
Nice to have
- Experience with payment gateway plugins or regulated commerce extensions.
- Familiarity with OAuth app flows, webhooks, and merchant onboarding automation.
- Public WordPress plugin maintenance or marketplace submission experience.
First 90 days
- Audit the WooCommerce install and payment flow from a merchant's first setup to completed order.
- Ship improvements to plugin settings, order status mapping, or webhook handling.
- Create a compatibility checklist for plugin releases and support handoffs.
