Senior Web3 Engineer
Build wallet and stablecoin payment reliability for Asia.
This role owns Web3 engineering work for Asia merchant payment flows, including wallet behavior, stablecoin support, chain reliability, and regional provider considerations. You will make on-chain payments feel operationally safe for merchants.
Why this role matters
- Increase confidence in wallet and stablecoin payments for Hong Kong and Asia merchants.
- Reduce chain-specific support friction through better product behavior and diagnostics.
- Help MakePay prioritize Web3 infrastructure based on regional merchant demand.
What you will own
- Build and test chain, wallet, token, quote, and confirmation logic for Asia payment flows.
- Evaluate provider integrations and network behavior for supported merchant routes.
- Partner with backend, support, and product on clearer Web3 payment states.
What you bring
- Production experience with Web3 infrastructure, wallets, provider APIs, or multi-chain payment systems.
- Strong TypeScript or backend engineering skills and a careful approach to payment correctness.
- Ability to explain blockchain tradeoffs to product and operational stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with stablecoins, TRON, EVM chains, exchange/payment integrations, or swap providers.
- Familiarity with Asia crypto payment behavior and merchant expectations.
- Security mindset around wallet flows, address handling, and transaction monitoring.
First 90 days
- Own an improvement to a regionally important chain, wallet, or stablecoin path.
- Create a support-facing guide for one Web3 payment failure mode.
- Help define which Web3 payment routes should be prioritized for Asia merchants.
