Senior Web3/Blockchain Engineer
Build Web3 payment infrastructure for US merchants.
This role connects blockchain infrastructure with merchant-grade product expectations in the US market. You will work on wallet behavior, on-chain payment status, provider integrations, and risk-aware crypto payment flows.

What you will own
- Build and review Web3 integrations for wallet payment, routing, token support, and confirmation tracking.
- Evaluate provider behavior, transaction edge cases, and merchant-facing reliability risks.
- Partner with backend and product teams to design safer payment flows and better diagnostics.
What you bring
- Production engineering experience with blockchain systems, wallets, provider APIs, or on-chain data.
- Strong TypeScript or backend engineering skills and a careful approach to payment correctness.
- Ability to explain chain behavior to product, support, and go-to-market stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with stablecoin payments, swaps, custody models, or merchant settlement.
- Security review experience for wallet, signing, or token-routing flows.
- Familiarity with US fintech or crypto compliance expectations.
First 90 days
- Improve one US-relevant chain, wallet, or stablecoin payment path.
- Create better diagnostics for a Web3 payment issue that support teams currently escalate.
- Help define MakePay's next Web3 infrastructure priorities for US merchant segments.
