Senior Frontend (Next.js) Engineer
Design and build Asia merchant UI at production quality.
This role focuses on frontend product quality for Hong Kong and regional merchants. You will build localized checkout, onboarding, and dashboard interfaces that make MakePay feel clear and trustworthy in Asia markets.

- Make complex wallet and payment states easier to understand across localized flows.
- Strengthen MakePay's frontend quality for regional product launches.
What you will own
- Build responsive Next.js interfaces for checkout, dashboard, onboarding, and regional content surfaces.
- Partner with product and design on local UI patterns, copy constraints, and workflow clarity.
- Improve frontend performance, accessibility, and component reuse for Asia-facing experiences.
What you bring
- Strong React, Next.js, TypeScript, and CSS experience in production web products.
- Good UX judgment for dashboards, checkout flows, forms, and error states.
- Ability to collaborate across language, region, and time-zone context.
Nice to have
- Experience with localization, fintech, crypto wallets, or merchant onboarding.
- Familiarity with analytics and conversion work for regional product pages.
- Design-system experience in a fast-growing product team.
First 90 days
- Ship a frontend improvement for Asia checkout or merchant onboarding.
- Create a reusable component pattern for localized payment or wallet states.
- Identify UI copy and layout issues that create support burden in Asia markets.
