EngineeringFull role brief

Senior Next.js Frontend Developer

Own the merchant-facing web experience for MakePay.

This role shapes the Next.js surfaces that merchants use to create payment links, review checkout performance, and manage crypto payment operations. You will turn complex payment states into clear interface patterns that feel fast, trustworthy, and easy to scan.

Why this role matters

  • Improve checkout and dashboard conversion for merchants launching crypto payments.
  • Create reusable frontend patterns for payment status, wallet selection, and onboarding flows.
  • Raise the quality bar for MakePay marketing and product surfaces in Dubai-led launches.

What you will own

  • Build responsive Next.js interfaces for dashboards, payment links, checkout setup, and merchant onboarding.
  • Partner with product and design to translate wallet, fee, and settlement concepts into clear UI states.
  • Improve frontend performance, accessibility, component quality, and release confidence.

What you bring

  • Strong production experience with React, Next.js App Router, TypeScript, and modern CSS systems.
  • Comfort working with APIs, loading states, error states, forms, and authenticated product flows.
  • A product-minded approach to frontend engineering, with care for polish and measurable UX outcomes.

Nice to have

  • Experience with fintech, checkout, billing, crypto wallets, or merchant dashboards.
  • Familiarity with server components, metadata, structured data, and SEO-sensitive pages.
  • A portfolio of product UI work that shows careful interaction and responsive behavior.

First 90 days

  • Ship improvements to payment-link creation, checkout status, and merchant dashboard usability.
  • Document reusable UI patterns for common payment and wallet states.
  • Contribute to a frontend quality checklist for future MakePay product launches.

How we work

Clear ownership, close product feedback, and direct merchant impact.

You will work with product, backend, support, and design from the Dubai hub, with frequent handoffs to regional teams serving merchants in the US and Asia.
