DesignFull role brief
Motion Designer / Interaction Designer
Make MakePay interactions feel clear, responsive, and calm.
This role shapes motion and interaction details across onboarding, checkout, wallet selection, payment status, and launch moments. You will use motion to clarify state changes, not decorate the product.
Why this role matters
- Improve user confidence during payment and wallet flows where timing and state changes matter.
- Create interaction patterns that make MakePay feel polished across product and marketing surfaces.
- Help engineering implement motion that is fast, accessible, and maintainable.
What you will own
- Design motion specs for onboarding, checkout transitions, payment status, notifications, and microinteractions.
- Prototype interaction patterns that help explain loading, success, failure, and confirmation states.
- Collaborate with product designers and frontend engineers to implement lightweight motion systems.
What you bring
- Strong motion or interaction design portfolio for digital products, not only marketing assets.
- Understanding of usability, accessibility, timing, hierarchy, and responsive behavior.
- Ability to provide implementation-ready specs and collaborate with engineers on details.
Nice to have
- Experience with fintech, checkout, crypto wallets, SaaS onboarding, or dashboard interactions.
- Familiarity with Framer Motion, CSS animation, Lottie, or design-to-code handoff patterns.
- Ability to create motion guidelines for a small design system.
First 90 days
- Define motion principles for payment status, loading, and confirmation moments.
- Ship at least one production interaction improvement with frontend engineering.
- Audit current motion and interaction quality across key MakePay flows.
How we work
Clear ownership, close product feedback, and direct merchant impact.
You will partner with product design and frontend engineering, with room to work from Dubai or remotely where collaboration hours overlap.
