Engineering Manager
Help MakePay engineers ship reliably and grow well.
This role manages engineering execution, team health, delivery planning, and code quality for MakePay product work. You will help senior engineers stay focused while creating the practices that make the team easier to scale.

What you will own
- Manage engineers through planning, execution, delivery reviews, feedback, and growth conversations.
- Coordinate with product and design to keep scope, risk, and release readiness visible.
- Improve engineering habits around code review, testing, documentation, incidents, and ownership.
What you bring
- Engineering management or senior tech lead experience in product engineering teams.
- Strong technical judgment across web applications, APIs, reliability, and product delivery.
- Clear communication style with comfort holding teams accountable without adding process noise.
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, crypto, payments, commerce, or high-availability SaaS products.
- Background managing distributed teams or cross-functional delivery across regions.
- Ability to mentor senior individual contributors and newer engineering hires.
First 90 days
- Create an engineering delivery rhythm that makes scope, blockers, and release quality visible.
- Identify team-level gaps in testing, ownership, or operational readiness and address the first one.
- Build trust with engineers through practical coaching, clear priorities, and useful feedback.
